A DAY IN PARIS

LE MONNA LISA LOVES THE CITY OF LIGHTS

Paris, the city of love, the city of lights, has plenty of secrets and places to discover. During each visit of the capital, you will have the opportunity to discover new exceptional locations. At the hotel Le Monna Lisa, what we especially like is to make you discover authentic places, often less promoted by tour guides but which still deserve to be explored by all.

Since one visit of Paris is not enough to discover all the secrets of our beloved and recognized city, we propose you a schedule for one day in order for you to enjoy as much as possible the city of lights, its attractions and restaurants.

LE MONNA LISA PROPOSES YOU

8am: it is time to recharge your batteries for this day full of visits and beauties. We invite you to meet us on the first floor of the hotel to enjoy an invigorating breakfast. If you opt for a breakfast in bed, don’t forget to let us know!

10am: let’s conquer Paris. To start the day, we suggest you walk along the Champs-Élysées to reach the Musée de l’Orangerie to discover Monet’s Water Lilies paintings. Offered by the painter himself to the museum the day after the armistice of November 11th 1918, the large Water Lilies paintings by Claude Monet, which take part in the permanent collection of the Musée de l’Orangerie, have to be discovered at all costs!

12pm: after a walk around the Jardin des Tuileries, you may cross the Seine River by the famous Pont des Arts towards Saint-Germain-des-Près, the novelists’ district, where the greatest writers have stopped to write their best novels.

1pm: a gourmet break needs to be taken! In the heart of a small street located between the famous Café de Flore and the Eglice Saint-Sulpice, discover the restaurant Chez Fernand on rue Guisarde. An institution since 1970 in this neighborhood, this restaurant will easily amaze your taste buds. With a real devotion for good products, the restaurant’s owners, Rémi and Dimitri, will delight you with their good food, their authenticity but especially with their good mood.

3pm: after a good meal, head to the Ile de la Cité to discover an architectural jewel, the Sainte-Chapelle with its 1,113 stained-glass windows. Continue your visit with the Conciergerie, once a revolutionary tribunal and prison where Marie-Antoinette was held.

6pm: live the life of a true Parisian, it is time for happy hour! To do so, head to Le Marais by crossing once again the Seine River but this time through the Pont d’Arcole.

8pm: it is time to discover Paris by night. To conclude your day on a great note, we suggest the restaurant Georges, located on the rooftop of the Centre Pompidou. This chic and trendy restaurant offers one of the best views over the rooftops of the city of lights and its iconic monuments (Notre-Dame de Paris, the Eiffel Tower or even the dome of the Hôtel des Invalides). The restaurant Georges is the ideal place for a dinner with your lover.

Don’t miss to discover Paris and its secrets. Until then, we remain available for the organization of your next Parisian getaway.
