Tableware in faience

Very trendy, faience comes from Italy, and more precisely from the city of Faenza. Perhaps, you ask yourself: what is faience? It is, in fact, ceramic pottery. Indeed, it is part of the family of materials composed of ceramics. Very elegant, faience is mainly used for the design of tiles and tableware. Generally painted, it is decorated with vivid colours.

I really like faience on crockery. During a dinner in an Italian restaurant, I was able to rediscover painted faience plates, carafes and bowls. They reminded me of a sweet childhood memory: my grandparents had plates of the same style hanging on the wall at home.

I love the colours and shapes painted on these beautiful objects but also their originality. Following this rediscovery, I immediately wanted to acquire this kind of tableware for my home. I recommend the plates of Laboratorio Paravicini. These plates, handmade in Italy, are of an incomparable quality and beauty. It brings a dose of vitality to your table with its colors and floral patterns.
